Aspen Square Daily News
Aspen is a busy place on Halloween and today's range of events runs the gamut from cute kids parade to a Tower of Terror. Boo! Start your evening with an Aspen's Dark Side Ghost Tour presented by Aspen Walking Tours, then head over to the Square Grouper for the Local's Tower of Terror. Cap it off with a costume contest and performance by Danger Kitty at the Belly Up. And don't forget to spend some time strolling around town to take in the creative, silly spirit of the evening. Enjoy!
Halloween, Aspen's favorite local holiday, gets off to a great start on Friday, October 31 at the Aspen Fire Station. The Boo! Bash!, a Halloween Carnival, takes place from 3:30-5:30 pm and will be highlighted by lots of activities, including face painting, balloon animals, art, games, clowns, food and of course, costumes. It's THE place to be to kick off the night. Details at www.aspenrecreation.com.
If your idea of a fun weekend is to watch kids play hockey, you're in luck! The second weekend of Aspen Junior Hockey's annual Fall Face Off tournament returns to Lewis Ice Arena Friday, October 24. This weekend's age range is from Squirt to Bantam (elementary to middle school), so there'll be plenty of checking in store for the older kids, who'll be coming from as far as Cheyenne, Wyoming.
